Shuttlecock manufacturing
& BWF quality control standards.

How feather shuttlecocks and badminton equipment in our Anhui & Zhejiang supply chain are sorted, assembled, flight-tested and inspected before international dispatch.

SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSPARENCY

Engineered for repeatable flight, rally durability & clear tolerances

International buyers need verifiable technical tolerances rather than vague marketing claims. Below is the exact 8-stage manufacturing and quality control workflow used across our feather shuttlecock supply chain.

16-feather optical & manual grading

Feathers are sorted by left/right wing anatomy, rachis wall thickness, natural camber radius and vane density so all 16 feathers in a single crown rotate at a uniform rate.

BWF 4.74–5.50 g & speed 75–79 calibration

Finished shuttlecocks are micro-weighed within ±0.05 g buckets and flight-tested over a 13.40 m court to verify landing length for speeds 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79.

AQL 2.5 pre-shipment verification

Before export cartons are sealed, tubes are audited for 12-shuttle count, cork leather adhesion, rib resin curing, speed sticker accuracy and master carton CBM/weight.

QUALITY CONTROL FAQ

Questions on testing, tolerances & inspections

How we verify shuttlecock flight, speed codes and equipment specifications before dispatch.

What BWF dimensional and weight standards do your feather shuttlecocks follow?

All 27 Huiyu feather shuttlecock models are manufactured to standard BWF physical specifications: 16 natural feathers fixed in a 25–28 mm cork base, feather length between 62 and 70 mm (uniform within each shuttlecock), skirt crown diameter between 65 and 68 mm, and total shuttlecock weight between 4.74 and 5.50 grams calibrated into speeds 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79.

How do you prevent shuttlecock feathers from drying out during sea or air freight?

During Stage 01 conditioning, feathers are stabilised at 8%–12% moisture content rather than bone-dry baking. Finished shuttlecocks are packed in foil-lined 12-shuttle tubes with protective end caps and 5-ply export master cartons to buffer against container humidity swings.

Can we book a pre-shipment inspection before paying the final balance?

Yes. Every wholesale or Basic/Pro procurement order can include an agreed pre-shipment check brief covering quantity count, speed code verification, weight tolerance, flight stability and carton markings. Third-party inspection agencies (such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, QIMA or buyer-appointed inspectors) are welcome by prior appointment.

How do we verify that bulk production matches our approved sample tubes?

When you approve a sample tube, we record the model code, speed number (75–79), gram weight window and batch reference on your proforma invoice. Keep 1 sealed sample tube at your facility as a reference standard against the bulk delivery.
